PANEER PARANTHA (COTTAGE CHEESE STUFFED PARANTHA)

PANEER PARANTHA

Paneer parantha is another variant in the parantha series. Its a famous delicacy from Punjab. These are a famous breakfast item, eaten with butter and yogurt. It is always best to use home made paneer because it has its softness even after cooking but if not available then store bought paneer will also do.

It is just the fact that the Paneer should be soft and crumbly.


INGREDIENTS:

  • WHEAT DOUGH
  • PANEER-200 GMS
  • GREEN CHILLIES-2-3
  • GINGER-1 INCH GRATED
  • GARLIC-2-3 GRATED
  • ONION-1/2 CUP CHOPPED
  • SALT-TO TASTE
  • RED CHILLI- TO TASTE
  • CORIANDER PWDR-1/4 TSP

PROCEDURE:
  • Take the wheat Dough and knead it to smooth
  • Grate the paneer to soft texture
  • Mix onion, green chilli, garlic, ginger, red chilli, coriander powder and salt.
  • adjust seasoning to taste
  • Now the Pithi is ready for stuffing
  • roll out a 4-5 inch dough
  • put the 2 tsp stuffing on it and gather from all sides to make it a round ball
  • now roll out softly to  7-8 diameter with the help of rolling pin
  • in the mean while the tawa should be put on heat and carefully put the rolled parantha on it
  • when cooked from one side apply ghee to it and flip it.
  • when it gets browned and roasted it is done.
  • serve it with butter and yogurt and mango pickle.
  • Delicious
