KADA PRASHAD

KADA PRASHAD OR WHEAT HALWA

On just saying the name Kadaa Prashad, a sweet smell surrounds me. It reminds me of my every Sunday visits to our local Gurudwara Sahib. And how the Bhai-Ji would be chanting Waheguru-Waheguru and preparing this Prashad. After the ardaas (final-prayer) is done then the Prashad is distributed among all the people(Sangat) by the Sevadaar's(Voluntary Service).

The taste is so addictive, that we used to go and get it second time as well (He He He).No matter how many times we prepare it but it never comes close to that divine taste.

  3. Now add the sugar syrup to the mixture. Keep stirring continuously while adding the syrup so that no lumps are formed.
  4. Do not stop stirring the Prashad till it thickens into a firm pudding and the mixture leaves the side of the pan.
