GOBI KA PARANTHA



Gobi is Indian name for Cauliflower.Gobi ka parantha is absolutely delicious one of the most popular parantha in North India.Gobi parantha is typically served for breakfast in many household, But can be enjoyed in anytime of the day. No Punjabi house is complete without having Gobi parantha in their menu.

These parantha are served with dollop of white butter and Yogurt.Yum yum......



Gobi ka Parantha

INGREDIENTS
Florets of gobi      8-10
onion                    1/2 cup
ginger                    1 tsp
garlic                     1 tsp
corainder leaves     1 tsp
ajwain seeds           1/4 tsp
salt                         to taste
red chilli pwdr        1/4 tsp
amchur                   1/4 tsp
wheat flour
ghee                        to roast


PROCEDURE

STUFFING

  1. First of all wash properly the florets and dry them .
  2. grate each floret with the healp of shredder
  3. now mix all the dry ingredients such as onion, garlic, ginger, coriander leaves, ajwain seeds, salt, red chilli powder and amchur
  4. mix it properly to make a dry stuffing

PARANTHA

  1. take a small pinch of wheat flour and roll it with rolling pin
  2. flatten it to about 4-5 cm in diameter and keep a spoonful of stuffing on it
  3. gather from the corners and close it properly so as no stuffing comes out from with in
  4. dust it with some more flour and roll it to 7-8 diameter
  5. on a hot tawa put the rolled parantha, when the base is cooked flip it and apply some ghee and roast it.
  6. serve it hot with butter and yogurt
CALORIES

A portion of 120 gms of parantha would have approx. 360 calories. Also depends on the ghee and butter added on top of it.
