CABBAGE STIR FRY NORTH INDIAN STYLE WITH SOYA NUGGETS/PATTA GOBHI KI SABZI

Cabbage is a seasonal vegetable which is available almost round the year. But of-course the quality of the vegetable is differs as due to season. Cabbage is one such vegetable which should always be your fridge. My Son doesn't like to eat Cabbage, so I have to think different ways out to feed him this vegetable. I use it in the form of stir fry in Noodles, Pasta, Maggi, Sandwiches and he eats it.He He He...

Any ways now coming to this Vegetable, this time I made it very simple with Soya nuggets. Soya Nuggets are a rich source of Protein and my baby loves it. So I deliberately added a few more in the vegetable.So Smart of me...So now let's begin the recipe...Yum Yum..........

INGREDIENTS

  • CABBAGE-FINELY SLICED
  • SOYA NUGGETS-1 CUP SOAKED IN HOT WATER AND SQUEEZED OUT
  • ONION-1 CUP
  • SALT
  • RED CHILLI PWDR-1/2 TSP
  • TURMERIC-1/2 TSP
  • CORIANDER PWDR-1/2 TSP
  • OIL
  • ASAFOETIDA-1/4 TSP(HING)


PROCEDURE

  • Take oil in Karahi
  • Add sliced onions and fry them
  • As they get browned add all the spices and mix them well
  • Now add Soya nuggets which are already soaked in hot water and squeezed out
  • Then add cabbage and mix them well
  • Now cover it and cook
  • Don't add any water as cabbage leaves his own water and let it cook on its steam
  • Keep it on stirring in between
  • Check when the water is dried up and it will be cooked
  • serve it
