NAMKEEN VERMICELLI/SALTY SEVIYAAN/BOMBINO PULAV/HOW TO MAKE SEVIYAAN
When ever we say seviyaan what comes in mind is a quick fix meal. Whenever I have to prepared the tiffin of my little on who is 7 year old and I don't have any thing which is ready then this life savoir comes in mind. And my Son loves it.
Semiyaan Pulao is one such recipe which can be prepared in many ways.It can be made simple or by a different way like we make Rice Pulao and just replacing semiyaan with rice. Also it doesn't need that much of time it can be prepared in a jiff as well. And today I will be making it in a simple way. So let's begin....

INGREDEINTS
- BOMBINO-2 CUPS( ROASTED SEMIYAAN)
- ONION-1 SMALL BOWL
- TOMATOES-1 SMALL BOWL
- POTATOES- IN CUBES-1 SMALL BOWL
- CAULIFLOWER- 5-6 FLORETS SMALL
- PEAS-1 SMALL BOWL
- OIL-4-5 TBSP
- SALT
- RED CHILLI PWDR-1/2 TSP
- TURMERIC- 1/2 TSP
- CORIANDER PWDR-1/2 TSP
- CORAINDER LEAVES-1 TBSP
PROCEDURE
- Add oil in the karahi
- Then add onions to it and fry them
- When onions are soft and golden brown add tomatoes to it
- Cook them till they turn mushy and all the spices like salt, red chilli pwdr, coriander pwdr, turmeric to it
- Mix it well and add the vegetables like peas, cauliflower and potatoes to it
- Mix it well and cook it in the steam.
- Now add 3-1/2 cups of water to the vegetable mix and add Seviyaan to it
- The ratio is for 1 cup of Seviyaan add 1-1/4 cup of water .
- Cook it cover , when the water evaporates it is done

On a serving size of 1 cup of cooked Vermicelli it has approx. 245 calories

Cholesterol- 31mg
Protein(vegetable)-15 gms
Carbohydrate-18 gms

SOME NUTRITIONAL FACTS
- Vermicelli is made up of hard wheat semolina.
- This hard wheat is also known as Durum wheat, which is the hardest of all the wheat found and has a higher protein and gluten content as mentioned by the Wheat Foods council.
- When durum wheat is milled its endosperm is ground to a component called Semolina, and which is very healthy.
- Thus we should incorporated foods which are made up of whole wheat and their products as they help in controlling heart diseases.
