Ladoo are ball shaped sweets from Indian Cuisine and made up on festivals and celebration. Besan Ladoo are sweet balls made up from Besan(Chick pea flour), Sugar, Ghee, Nuts, cardamom . It is my Son's favorite. There are a variety of Ladoo like Rava, Cococnut, Peanut, Methi, Pinni and many others.

I madde these Ladoo yesterday as it was Diwali and also for one more reason , My Hubby got the excellence award for his performance so I was very happy. And Besan Ladoo are his favorite too..So let's begin.
Yum Yum...............

INGREDEINTS

  • BESAN- 2 CUPS
  • SUGAR- 1-1/4 CUP POWDERED
  • CARDAMOM-3-4
  • GHEE-1 CUP
  • NUTS-ALMONDS, CAHSEW NUTS

PROCEDURE
  • Take a Karahi and add ghee to it
  • When it is melted, add Besan to it.
  • Roast the Besan in the ghee but on a very low flame, this is really important, as we don't want to over cook the Besan and also under cook it
  • It should be properly cooked, Keep it continuously stirring.
  • The best way to judge whether it is done or not is that the whole house will be surrounded by the nutty fragrance of the Besan.
  • Then take it out from the Karahi in a big Bowl for cooling
  • In the meanwhile ground the sugar and cardamom together in a Mixie
  • When the Besan is cooled enough to handle add the sugar mixture
  • I powdered the nuts as my son doesn't like to eat them, just to hide it(He HE...:) )
  • Now mix everything properly
  • Try to form ladoo's
  • If your mixture looks a little dry, you can add a little ghee to it
  • Make Ladoo and store them in air tight Jars
  • They can be stored up-to a month, although they won't be left(so tasty)
