MATAR KA PARANTHA, GREEN PEAS PARANTHA

This is another unique parantha. In India we normally get peas in the winter months, and the peas which are available at that time are really soft, and sweet. Parantha made with these peas are really tasty. Yum Yum.
So lets get started......


INGREDIENTS


  • WHEAT FLOUR-DOUGH
  • PEAS-1/2 CUP
  • SALT
  • CUMIN(JEERA)-1/2 TSP
  • RED CHILLI-1/4 TSP
  • ONION-1/2 CUP
  • OIL
  • GREEN CHILLIES


PROCEDURE

  • Knead the wheat dough with oil and water . make it smooth dough and cover it with muslin cloth.
  • boil water in a sauce pan and then add peas to it
  • let it be soft, don't make it mushy because we will be cooking it also.
  • take a karahi, add oil to it
  • when oil is hot add cumin seeds or jeera to it
  • let it splutter, then add green chillies to it
  • now add chopped onions to it.
  • add salt and red chilies to it.
  • now add boil peas to it
  • fry them and mix them well, now our stuffing is ready
  • roll out the dough to 4-5 inch
  • put 2 tsp of stuffing on it
  • gather it from all sides and roll it into a ball
  • now roll it softly into 7-8 cm with the help of rolling pin
  • put it to hot tawa
  • when it gets cooked on one side flip it over, carefully
  • now smear it with ghee on both sides.
  • when it gets browned and roasted it is done.
  • serve it with butter and yogurt/dahi.
