CARE IN WINTER/HOW TO TAKE CARE OF OURSELVES IN WINTER'S

Winters are already in and we need to take some measures so that we are not left in cold. On one hand we have the morning chills and other hand is the dipped out weather temperature during night times.So in order to balance this we need the warmth for our body and especially take care of ourselves so that we can enjoy the complete pleasure in this weather.
Winter is often giving a bad rap as it brings cold and flu season and those cold, dark mornings!
However with our little efforts we can easily battle from these suffering in colder months.Let's list down the things which we can do to prevent ourselves from these harsh conditions.

1.BOOST IMMUNITY
It is important to take care of our health throughout the year but during winter months it becomes more essential.Eating well, getting enough sleep, and staying active are all the important  during winter to keep us and our family healthy and to support our immunity.Supplements containing herbs and nutrients such as echinacea, garlic, Vitamin C and Zinc will help to support and boost out immunity.

2.KEEP MOVING
While it is little harder to find  the motivation to exercise when it is cold outside, remember that keeping active during winter is the main ingredient which helps us to stay healthy and fit.We can even keep our selves active indoor by not going out and just making ourselves busy i household work and rest stuffs which will keep us warm during these months.

3.EATING WELL
As the winter progress it becomes tempting to start eating more of  those warm comforting foods that are often high in fat, sugar and salt. Instead we should opt for those of the warming and nourishing soups and stews which are full of winter vegetables and loaded with vitamins and minerals.
We should prepare our soups by adding lot of Garlic's, Thyme, Rosemary, Onion and winter vegetables's.

By having all those fatty and sweet buttery foods often leads to weight issues. While it may be a small weight gain but it add a lot under the belt.By keeping ourselves into a routine of healthy eating and exercise we can keep an eye on weight issues and manage it very well.

5.SLEEPING WELL
Proper sleep an eight hour sleep can keep our body immune system ready for cold and flu.By avoiding alcohol, caffeine and cigarettes these substances can affect the quality of sleep. Regular moderate exercise and relaxation techniques and establishing a regular sleep method are really necessary for good sleep.

6.SKIN HEALTH
The cold weather effects a lot on our skin and contribute such as dry , itchy skin.This may be due to reduced humidity, drinking less water than the we normal do in summers.Due to less in take of water it leads to reduced circulation which may result in decreased blood flow and nutrients to skin. Using moisturizers which are loaded with naturals oil like cocoa, butter, Vitamin E when applied daily keeps the skin soft and supple.

Also incorporating foods which are loaded with natural oil, fish oil, omega fatty acids helps in managing these skin conditions.

7. COLD AND FLU
The very onset of winters brings all those viruses which causes flu and colds. This weather is very favorable for the growth of these viruses. Although we can try to keep ourselves and our family at a bay from catching these viruses.

  • These viruses that causes cold and flu spread by sneezing, coughing and hand contact.
  • Wash or sanitize regularly to avoid the spread of these viruses.
  • Avoid close contact with that person who has cold.
  • Keep your household surface and kids toys clean and sanitize to prevent them from infection.
  • Try to incorporate plenty of water and hot soups into the diet
  • Avoid alcohol and caffeine.
  • Supplements of Vitamin C, Zinc should be added in diet.
